In preparing our hearts for Communion today, we will be looking at the story that only Luke records in his gospel of the two who walked on the Road to Emmaus and were encountered by Christ.  This account mirrors the experiences that we have in life when our hopes and dreams are dashed, but how Christ in His faithfulness reveals to us that all that has happened is part of His plan for His glory and for our blessing.  The challenge is to walk on that road and encounter Christ and come away from it with a burning heart and a life that is radically and forever changed!
