Water baptism for the believer is not a mere ritual or a rite of passage. Instead, it holds great significance and has a life-changing impact.  Being immersed INTO water conveys great spiritual truths as by this act we come into UNION with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. By this act of obedience, we sign our life-long commitment to die to ourselves, and to live in resurrection power over sin, the world, the flesh and the devil.
