The writer to the Hebrews pauses in the midst of his treatise in proving the superiority of Jesus by issuing the first of 5 warnings that are given in this epistle.  Because God now speaks to us through His Son, he cautions his readers, there is no chance for escape for such gross negligence. Today’s message focuses on the dangers of drifting and challenges us to give our utmost attention to making God’s Word the priority of our lives. It is only in doing so that we can be assured of living a life pleasing to the Lord.
